OUR MISSION


To enhance the quality of life for residents, businesses, and visitors in the Borough of Ridgefield while adhering to the parameters set forth in the Borough Code by the Governing Body. This is done in a responsible, safe, and professional manner provided by skilled and dedicated individuals. Services include, but are not limited to, sanitation, recycling, yard waste, snow removal, stormwater management, street, sewer and building repairs, environmental upkeep, and maintenance of public spaces.



YARD WASTE - LEAVES, BRUSH & GRASS

WEST OF SHALER BLVD

Yard Waste: Tuesdays from 4/7 to 10/20

Yard Waste on Sweeper Day: Thursdays or Fridays from Nov. 5-6 to Dec. 17-18

 

EAST OF SHALER BLVD

Yard Waste: Tuesdays from 4/9 to 10/22

Yard Waste on Sweeper Day: Mondays or Tuesdays from Nov. 2-3 to Dec. 14-15

 

Yard Waste: Will be collected from 4/7 to 10/22 and should be placed at the curb in barrels or brown bags (NO PLASTIC BAGS).  Tied bundles of branches cut in lengths no longer than 4ft and tied in manageable sizes should be called in to the DPW for a separate pickup appointment. Yard Waste includes leaves, grass, plants, small branches, pumpkins, hay bales, corn stalks, etc.

Do not place piles in the street within ten feet of catch basins/storm sewers.
