REPORTING ANIMAL BITE THAT HAVE OCCURRED IN RIDGEFIELD
Because warm blooded animals, such as cats, dogs, bats raccoons, skunks and other wildlife, can carry and transmit rabies, animal bites should always be reported to the Health Department.
For bites that occurred in Ridgefield, if you are making a report Monday through Friday, 9:00AM to 5:00PM call the Health Department Inspector at (201) 943-6062.
Reports can be made by telephone or the Animal Bite Report form can be completed and faxed to Ridgefield Health Dept. at (201) 943-5978.
If you are making a report after normal business hours or on a weekend, call the Police Department at (201) 943-5210.
